Daytime Smoky Eye featuring Vapour Beauty

Daytime Smoky Eye look using Vapour Beauty Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation in shade 135, Vapour Beauty Pencil Eyeliner in Truffle, Vapour Beauty Aura Multi Use in Courtesan, RMS Beauty Volumizing Mascara, and Honest Beauty Contour + Highlight Kit. Five Product Face.

My local natural beauty store Fig & Flower carries a nice selection of Vapour Beauty products and I've incorporated a few of them into this daytime smoky eye look. Vapour beauty is a luxury cruelty-free makeup and skincare brand made in New Mexico that has a great lineup of all natural products with organic ingredients. In this post I'll show you how I created a subtle, daytime smoky eye using a few of the products I picked up.

The Products.

Vapour Beauty Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation in S135, $50. This is one of the most beautiful foundations I have ever worn, but has a few drawbacks that I will be discussing in an upcoming review.  It also has one of the most comprehensive shade ranges I've seen in a 100% natural foundation.

Vapour Beauty Mesmerize Eyeliner in Truffle, $20. This is a soft, cool-toned brown eyeliner that is great for daytime use. It's 70% organic, which is great, but it's lacking in pigmentation so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone darker than me.

Honest Beauty Contour + Highlight Kit, $34. A product I purchased in the search for a replacement for my Tom Ford contour/highlight palette. The contour comes close; the highlighter has more noticeable shimmer.

RMS Volumizing Mascara, $28. This is the most natural mascara I have ever worn. It leaves my lashes jet black and super defined. I wouldn't call it volumizing, but is absolutely perfect for a natural makeup look.

Vapour Beauty Aura Multi-Use in Courtesan, $36. A classic pink shade in the perfect format for travel.

The Tutorial.

I have already primed my face and filled in my eyebrows. Below is the play by play of how I achieved this daytime smoky eye.

Step 1. Apply foundation with Beauty Blender. Apply concealer and set foundation if necessary.

Step 2. Use an angled brush to apply cream contour to the hollows of the cheeks and sides of the forehead.

Step 3. Use finger to apply cream highlighter to tops of cheeks, bridge of nose, and cupid's bow.

Step 4. Line eyes on top and bottom with brown pencil liner and smudge with foam tip or brush.

Step 5. Smoke out eyeliner further with cream contour and blend into and just above the crease.

Step 6. Apply mascara to thicken and define lashes.

Step 7. Apply multi use lip and cheek product the cheeks and blend with fingers.

Step 8. Use the same lip and cheek product on the lips.
