Last week Zuzu Luxe products were on sale at my local Whole Foods. I didn’t know much about the brand or it’s quality, so I decided to pick up only three products (although my impulse was telling me to pick up a lot more!). I’ve heard a lot about how Zuzu Luxe carries an assortment of colored liquid liners. Although I was tempted to go with Nile, an emerald green, I decided to be more practical and choose the dark brown, Tuareg. I also picked up a blush and lip gloss. I incorporated them into this glowy makeup look and a tutorial is below.
RMS Beauty Un Cover-Up in shade “55”, $36.00. This is easily becoming one of my favorite complexion products. It can be used as a concealer or foundation and built up to a medium coverage. It contains coconut oil, so it’s pretty emollient, but it does last a good 6-8 hours with the right powder. The best thing about this foundation is that when it does wear off, it doesn’t just break up or get super greasy. It wears off with grace.
Zuzu Luxe Blush in shade “Samba”, $22.60. Described as a light bronze with warm shimmer, this shape leaves a subtle shimmer on my cheeks. I would liken it to MAC Warm Soul or MAC Margin. Because of the high shimmer, I would probably skip this if you have texture or larger pores on your cheeks.
Zuzu Luxe Liquid Eyeliner in “Taureg”, $15.60. This is a gluten-free, vegan liquid eyeliner with an easy-to-use felt tip and a matte finish. I’ve had a number of brown liquid liners over the years, but they all just looked black. What I love about this liner is that it is clearly brown, and in turn, much more subtle.
RMS Beauty Volumizing Mascara, $28. Most of the ingredients in this mascara are certified organic, which is great, since I always end up letting my guard down and rubbing my eyes at some point at night.
Zuzu Luxe Lip Gloss in “Bronzite”, $18. This lip gloss reminds me of a cross between Nars Turkish Delite and Orgasm. I would consider this a cross between a sheer metallic and a glitter, as there are some noticeable shimmers. In the future, I’ll probably use this to add a noticeable sheen on my nude or natural lipsticks.
