First Impressions

When I first opened my Nourish Box and saw this bronzer, I sighed in disappointment and thought 'great, another bronzer that will be too light for me'. As someone with tan skin I often find myself not being able to wear bronzers, especially when a brand only makes one shade. Luckily I was wrong.

This is an neutral-toned bronzer with a gold illumination throughout. There are two shades which are pretty close too each other in color. Although the brand recommends swirling your brush over both shades, I use the darker shade as a bronzer and the lighter shade as a highlighter. Neither side really pops on my skin tone, but that's not what I'm going for on a daily basis so I like it.

Pros and Cons

As far as performance, it lasts all day on my face. I also like to use it as an eyeshadow - sweeping the darker shade on my lid and crease and the lighter shade in the inner corner, on the brow bone, and on the very center of my mobile lid. Because it's multi-use I've been reaching for it probably every other third day since I've received it because it's so easy to do nearly all of my face and eye color in a very short amount of time.

What I don't like about this product? I wish it were more finely milled. I was hoping it would be a good dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders and bronzers, since it's so subtle and all, but because the shimmer particles aren't very finely milled it can't really compare. I also with the darker shade wasn't as shimmery. I don't mind it on my cheekbones, but it leaves a noticeable sheen on my forehead that I could do without.

My Recommendation

I recommend this product for people with medium - dark tan skin tones that are looking for an illuminating bronzing product that is cruelty-free, vegan, natural and that doesn't break the bank. I do not recommend this product for anyone deeper than me in complexion or anyone looking for a matte bronzer.
